Library Page Program
At EES, we are proud to welcome over 75 students from Grades 5-7 in our Leadership Development Program. Student leaders apply at the beginning of the school year to work within the school community in areas they are passionate about. Library Pages work in the Library Learning Commons who check in and out library books, assist students and staff with finding resources, creating special displays and delivering technology to classrooms. They also work at special Library events such as Author Visits and Book Fairs.
Student Leaders also work in a variety of other roles including classroom tech helpers, gym game time helpers, food and nutrition team, assembly team, office helpers, field coaches and playground leaders. Our leaders are learning vital skills including customer service, working with others, becoming part of a team and the importance of community service.
In May, our Grade 7 leaders will be joined with student leaders from our two local highschools for a Leadership Forum, sharing ideas, activities and team building, helping prepare them to continue their leadership journey in highschool and beyond.
